Working for Blue Water Wash has been very rewarding. I began working while still in high school as a washer, shortly after was promoted to lead hand and am currently a supervisor. Blue Water Wash has been given me many opportunities for growth and development. I have been able to work on various shift and meet & work with many great people.

Blue Water Wash has been very flexible with my shifts. I began my employment working weekends and it has allowed me to able to have a healthy balance between school and work and I was able to save money for college. Now as a college student they have worked with my college schedule and I still receive full time hours.

I started at Blue Water Wash June 2021 on the evening shift as a Wash Bay Attendant while still going to high school. Working the evening shift has enabled me to complete my Grade 12 while still working full time. I enjoy training new staff members the correct way to wash trailers and would like someday to be a Lead Hand to accept new challenges and further my career.

I started at Blue Water Wash March 2014 as a wash bay attendant and when washing was slow, I would help fix equipment around the wash bay. Soon after was given the opportunity to be a full-time maintenance employee for Blue Water Wash which I enjoy as no two days are ever the same. This job has great flexibility in hours to accommodate my family life away from work .

I joined Blue Water Wash in October 2015. I started out as a Wash Bay Attendant and worked my way up to a Lead Hand. As an employee I really love having a work-life balance and this job has been able to offer me that from the start. The company also offers great consistency in maintaining a good relationship with their employees which makes it enjoyable to be a part of this team.

I started working at Blue Water Wash March 2017, 6 years now as a Wash Bay Attendant. I really enjoy and love working here, all I can say about the company is that they are good and to those of my co-workers. Blue Water Wash
Blue Water Wash, a division of Steve’s Livestock Transport, is a team of professionals dedicated to the thorough washing of transport vehicles and equipment to ensure quality, consistency and improved biosecurity.
Nathan S. first started with Steve's Livestock Transport Group of Companies 13.5 years ago at Blue Water Wash. After a few months with Blue Water Wash, he made the switch to BVT Truck & Trailer Repair where he continues to make a huge impact on our team to this day. From his hands-on skills in the shop to his proven leadership abilities, Nathan is an integral part of our operation. Nathan is also a Fire Fighter Captain with Rapid City Emergency Services. I’ve had the opportunity to experience a variety of jobs at BVT Truck & Trailer Repair with my favorites including working on trailer rebuilds after rollovers and custom-building something based on a customer’s vision. I really enjoy bringing those ideas to life.![]()

Another highlight of my role is leading the Livestock Emergency Response Team out of our Brandon location. Responding to rollover accidents aids in animal welfare and gives me valuable insight into minimizing damage to trailers by knowing where to cut or not to cut. This experience plays a key role when it comes time to repair them in the shop and helps keep repair costs down and turnaround times efficient.![]()

Outside of work I enjoy spending time with family and friends, camping, and working as a ranch hand on a local farm. One of my true passions is firefighting. I’ve proudly served as a firefighter for the past 8 years and last year I made rank as Captain with Rapid City Emergency Services.![]()

As I write this, I’m currently on my third wildfire deployment up north. My first deployment was to Lynn Lake in early June for 5 days, followed by 3 days in Flin Flon in mid-June. Most recently, I left on August 2 for a 4-day deployment in Leaf Rapids. Including travel and workdays, I’ll have dedicated around 18 days, or roughly 300 hours, supporting wildfire efforts across the province.![]()
